You want something to change. You need a way to start.
You’ve gone over it in your head. You’ve talked about it. But you’re still facing the same decision, the same uncertainty, the same question: what do I actually do next?
Perhaps a career no longer fits. A chapter has ended. Or there’s something you’ve wanted for years, and you want to stop putting it off.
You need a first step you can take—and support for what comes after.
Practical progress from your first session.
That’s where the Metisoma Method begins. In your first preparation session, you and Margaret work through the situation in front of you and agree an action to take before you meet again.
Prepare for the conversation. Investigate an option. Try a different approach.
At your next meeting, you review what happened and work out the next step. You build clarity and confidence as you go, with a clear process and personal guidance throughout.
Two preparation sessions. Fifteen private coaching sessions with Margaret. Practical work connected to the change you want to make.
Start with a complimentary call to discuss what you need and whether working together is a good fit.
A practical start. Skills you can keep using.
You don’t have to work out your whole future before you begin. We start with what needs attention now, then build your ability to handle what comes next.
Leave with a first step you can take.
Work through the situation in front of you and identify what matters most right now. Practise a brief way to pause, notice tension and bring your attention back to the task.
You leave with a clear priority, one manageable action and a plan for when to take it. That might be preparing a conversation, investigating an option or trying a different approach.
Build on what you learn.
Review what happened when you tried your first step—or what got in the way. Refine your priorities, work through the next decision and begin your personal transition plan.
You have a starting plan, clear next actions and guidance on how to use your programme materials.
Develop a way forward you can rely on.
Work towards clearer decisions, greater composure in difficult conversations and routines that support the changes you want to make.
Practise with real situations. Review what works. Learn to recognise familiar patterns earlier and prepare a response when they return. Your transition plan develops as you do.
You take practical steps throughout. Each session helps you understand what happened and decide what comes next.
What you’ll work through
Fifteen private coaching sessions, organised into three stages. Throughout the programme, you review the steps you’ve taken, work through what needs attention and agree what to do next.
Awareness
Get clear and get moving.
Sessions 1–5
Understand what has changed, what matters to you and the patterns influencing your choices. Examine the ambitions and expectations you’ve been living by, while taking practical steps and learning from what happens.
Recalibration
Strengthen your choices and how you carry them through.
Sessions 6–10
Work on the responses that affect your decisions, relationships and communication. Prepare for situations that matter, practise approaching them differently and use a clear framework to weigh your options.
Integration
Build on your progress.
Sessions 11–15
Connect your direction with everyday choices and longer-term commitments. Practise explaining what you want, establish boundaries and prepare for the obstacles that could interrupt your progress.

Support as you continue
Work out what to do. Practise how to do it.
You can know what you want to say and still find yourself holding your breath, rushing or backing down when the moment comes.
The Metisoma Method helps you prepare for both parts: the decision you need to make and the moment you need to act.
Two connected parts
Mētis — practical wisdom
Work through your options, question the assumptions influencing your choices and decide what matters now. Prepare the conversation, investigate the opportunity or plan your next step.
Soma — the body
Notice how you respond physically under pressure. Practise greater ease in how you breathe, sit, stand, move and speak. Apply that practice to the situations where you want to communicate clearly, hold your ground or try something unfamiliar.
What is the Alexander Technique?
The Alexander Technique is an educational approach to how we move and carry ourselves. It teaches awareness of habitual tension and explores ways to perform everyday activities with greater ease and less unnecessary effort.
It is used by actors, musicians and other performers, and taught at institutions including the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and The Juilliard School.
Connection to Margaret
Margaret’s experience as an Alexander Technique practitioner is one influence on her understanding of physical habits and presence. Metisoma is her own coaching method, shaped by more than thirty years of coaching and her wider professional experience.
You bring the thinking and the practice together in real situations, then review what happens. The aim is greater clarity in your choices and greater composure and confidence as you carry them through.
Created by Margaret Stolmack, drawing on more than thirty years of coaching experience. Delivered through Exceptional Talent.
